Terms and Conditions

Sales Conditions

We kindly request all our guests to familiarize themselves with our guidelines for purchasing ski passes.

General sales conditions for ordering ski passes and other items online. These general terms apply between the provider and the person who, either by themselves or through others, places an order on the provider’s website or with the provider’s affiliated online partners.

The order may concern ski passes, purchase of other products and services such as ski rental and ski school, other activities, or a combination of these.

Buyer’s responsibility / stay informed

We ask that all guests follow the information updated on our websites and our Facebook page, as well as information boards at each lift.

Before making a final order, you should read and become familiar with important information about the specific product. The buyer is responsible for ensuring that the purchase is in line with their own wishes. The buyer is responsible for ensuring that the information in the confirmation (sent only via email) corresponds to the order.

Lift pass

When purchasing ski passes online, you can buy them with or without an Axess chip card. If you purchase a ski pass with an existing Axess chip card, your ticket is activated upon the first passage through the turnstile/lift. If you don’t have an Axess card, you must purchase one. The card costs NOK 80, in addition to the ski pass price. If you have purchased a new Axess chip card online, you can collect it at the pick-up machine in Sirdal Skisenter. There is no deposit on Axess cards.

You can find the pick-up machines at the restaurant (Sirdal Lodge) and by the chairlift in Tjørhomfjellet, and at the warming cabin in Ålsheia. Scan the QR code you received in your email to retrieve the tickets.

Ski Rental and Ski School

Booking and payment for ski rental and ski school take place in the same way as for ski passes and other activities.

Season pass

The season pass is personal and must not be transferred. In case of misuse or lending the card to others, the card may be confiscated. Also, in case of violations of guidelines or the alpine trail rules, the ski pass may be confiscated.

If you lose your season pass, you can obtain a new one by paying 250,-.

Upon purchasing a season pass, you have priority access to the facility in case of capacity limitations. However, this does not guarantee a spot, but in situations where capacity must be restricted, the season pass holder will have priority, provided it is feasible.

Weather and Conditions Disclaimer

We inform our guests that weather and conditions in the mountains may change. The guest is responsible for assessing weather and conditions based on their skiing and snowboarding skills before purchasing ski passes or booking ski rental.

Refunds

There are no refunds for ski passes, ski rental, or ski school in case of bad weather, fog, snow, ice, technical issues, or similar situations. If you are unsure about weather conditions, please contact us before purchasing ski passes, booking ski rental, or ski school.

For newly purchased ski passes, ski rental, or ski school for a specific date, if there’s an illness or injury, a new pass or rental can be provided for the person affected, and only for the days the ski pass, ski rental, or ski school has not been used. This applies only to the person affected by illness or injury. In case of an early departure due to unforeseen events, there will be no refund for ski passes, ski school, or ski rental.

If pre-booked lift passes/tickets, ski rentals, and/or ski school sessions cannot be used due to illness/injury, the purchaser will receive a promo code for the purchase of a lift pass for a chosen date, provided we are not sold out, by presenting documentation (doctor’s note) for the illness up to 1 day before arrival.

For pre-booked ski passes, ski rental, or ski school that cannot be used due to reasons other than illness or injury, it must be canceled at least 10 days before arrival. In this case, a promo code will be sent to be used for purchasing ski passes, ski rental, or ski school for a chosen date, provided we are not sold out.

Note that promo codes must be used within the current season.

Any claims must be made within 5 days of the products valid date..

Season Pass Refunds

With a season pass with us, you get the opportunity to ski/snowboard in both Tjørhomfjellet and Ålsheia. The season runs from December to May, as long as conditions allow us to remain open.
We aim for the season pass with us to be a good investment, providing you with a high number of skiing days and great experiences on our trails.

Operational Interruptions

In the event of operational interruptions—lift stoppage and/or when more than 50% of the total trail offering at the time of purchase cannot be used—the cardholder is entitled to a proportionate refund for the time the ski pass cannot be utilized. The interruption must last at least 30 minutes, and the total sum of interruptions must constitute more than 1/3 of the ski pass’s validity period.

There are no refunds for daily passes, half-day passes, evening passes, or hourly passes.

Force Majeure, Operational Interruptions

For operational interruptions beyond the ski resort’s control, a refund equivalent to 50% of the proportionate refund the cardholder is entitled to under the previous point shall apply. This is for interruptions resulting from weather and wind conditions, avalanches, lightning strikes, flooding, fire, power outages, strikes, etc., which are circumstances the facility could not reasonably have anticipated at the time of purchase. The facility must demonstrate that the operational interruption is due to such conditions and that the facility could not reasonably avoid or prevent their consequences.

Based on the above provision, it follows that the cardholder is not entitled to the full purchase amount, only a proportionate refund for the time the season pass cannot be used. The maximum amount that can be claimed for lack of snow is 50% of the ski pass’s purchase price. This assumes that the facility cannot open for the season. Conversely, if the facility remains open for more than 1/3 of the season, the cardholder is not entitled to a refund.

In other words, for closed days beyond 1/3 of the total number of ski days in the season, the cardholder can claim a refund for 50% of the proportionate share of the time the ski pass cannot be used. This calculation involves dividing the value of the ski pass by the number of days in the season. This “daily rate” is crucial for determining the size of the refund claim.

f the facility remains closed throughout the season—100 days in total—that would mean a refund of half the amount paid for the season pass.

Naturally, any refund claims cannot be settled until after the season ends. Until the season closes, the facility owner can reject any refund claims. Any claims for a refund must be directed to the facility owner after this point.

Right of Withdrawal

For the purchase of ski passes, ski rental, and ski school online, there is no right to cancellation or refund, pursuant to Section 22, letter m of the Right of Withdrawal Act. This also applies to packages and promotions containing dated ski passes or dated events. Feel free to contact us.

Various discounts

The customer is responsible for presenting discount coupons/vouchers/gift cards before purchasing ski passes. There will be no refunds afterward. Note that discounts apply only to regular prices.

Training and Competitions

Parts of the competition trails may be reserved for competitions and training.

Axess Card

If you do not have an Axess card, you must purchase it. The card costs NOK 80, in addition to the ski pass price. If you have an Axess card without technical issues, it can be recharged and reused. There is no deposit on Axess cards.
