Conditions and Opening Hours

Are you open?

Tjørhomfjellet is open daily from 09:00-16:00 (the chairlift closes at 15:30 until February 1st). Ålsheia is open on weekends and holidays from 09:30-16:00. In addition, there is evening skiing in Ålsheia from Wednesday to Saturday, 17:00–21:00, until mid-March.
Read more about our opening hours HERE or check our morning update, posted around 08:00 on Facebook and Instagram, for the day’s opening hours.

How’s the weather?

We use yr.no to provide weather forecasts. You can easily check this yourself. Check HERE for Tjørhomfjellet and HERE for Ålsheia. If weather affects opening or similar, we’ll post about it in the morning updates on social media around 08:00.

When do you open Nyestøl and/or the park in Ålsheia?

In Nyestøl and several of our other trails, we entirely rely on natural snow. This means we need a lot of natural snow before we can open these areas. When the operations department deems it safe to use a snow groomer in the various trails, they’ll do everything possible to open the trails as early as possible. It’ll be announced on social media when more trails open and which ones are open.

The park in Ålsheia opens as soon as more trails open in the facility. It’ll be announced on social media when the park opens.

What are the current conditions?

Keep an eye out on our morning update on Facebook every morning at 8 AM or fnugg.no/sirdal
