About the job – ski patrol
We are looking for skilled skiers and snowboarders with an interest in safety, injury prevention and various rescue specialties. We are open for both experienced and trainee patrollers and welcome both Scandinavian and international applicants. Speaking a Scandinavian language is a bonus but is not necessary.
As an employee of the ski patrol, you work under the operations department and in close dialogue with the leader of the ski patrol. Roles a responsibilities include:
Responsibilities
- Repatriation of injured parties both on and off piste
- Rope rescue over steep ground
- Rope rescue from aerial structures
- Snow studies and avalanche forecasting
- Avalanche mitigation
- Hazard marking
- Aiding clients with navigation around the ski hill
- Protecting infrastructure
- Assisting other members of staff when the require
- Immediate minor and major injury assessment
- Minor and major injury stabilisation and treatment
Desired qualifications
Applicants must have a good level of either skiing or snowboarding both on and off piste in all snow conditions. All training is provided where required however it is a bonus if applicants qualifications or training in the following areas:
- Good level of skiing/snowboarding both on and off piste
- Pre-hospital first aid and cpr
- Rope rescue
- Snow studies or avalanche mitigation training
- Experience with snow mobiles

Requirements
- You are over 18 years old
- It is desirable that you have certificate S
- It is an advantage if you have a minimum of 16 hours of first aid course
